Life in La La Land
Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I am sharing my last post from my recent trip to Los Angeles. I absolutely love this city and definitely want to go back soon. I am sharing some pictures of the Peninsula hotel and other activities I enjoyed while there.
The Peninsula hotel had such attention to detail and even surprised us with monogramed pillow cases!
I also loved the Peninsula hotel because of its location. It was just a couple of minutes away from Rodeo Drive, a street filled with the worlds most luxurious fashion and lifestyle brands.
The hotel is also a nice spot for a relaxing and a quiet brunch.
The hotel features a beautiful rooftop pool and restaurant. There was a variety of food to choose from on the menu and everything we ordered was delicious. We didn't spend too much time poolside because we wanted to explore as much of what the city has to offer as possible.
While in Los Angeles, I also recommend taking a hike on some well known trails. We hiked Runyon Canyon and definitely underestimated the workout we were in store for. Wear appropriate shoes as the trails are very steep and can be slippery. It ended up being an intense workout but the view made it worth it! Although the photo doesn't do it justice, the view of the Hollywood sign and downtown LA was incredible. If hiking isn't your thing, you can also visit the Griffith Observatory for a similar view with less physical effort!
Some delicious restaurants for dinner include the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel and Nobu in Malibu for a relaxing dinner next at the beach.
Below I have listed some additional recommendations in LA!
Shopping: Rodeo Drive, Planet Blue, Fred Siegel, Kitson (if still open), and Kyle (if you are a Real Housewives fan).
Restaurants: The Ivy, Nobu Malibu, Polo Lounge, Cabana Cafe, Katsuya, Mr. Chow, Delilah, Beauty & Essex, and Catch.
Bars/Clubs: The Nice Guy, Bootsy Bellows, 1Oak, Avenue, Catch, Chateau Marmont.
